SUISEKI
Suiseki are naturally formed stones noted for their power to suggest a scene from nature or an object closely related to nature. They are often displayed with bonsai to enhance the illusion the artist is attempting to present.

THATCHED HUT STONE SUISEKI

Thatched hut stones ideally resemble a thatched roof farmhouse, country cottage or mountain hermitage with an overhanging rounded or triangular roof and an eroded or recessed center, sometimes with a pillar. Thatched hut stones with pillars holding up the roof tend to be highly valued. The stones presented here are imported from Japan and originated from Gifu Prefecture.
