Kazan Satsuki Azalea*
Rhododendron indicum ‘Kazan’ There are over 2,000 cultivars of Satsuki azaleas, primarily selected for their flowers. Kazan has lovely salmon flowers which is unusual for a Satsuki. However, the most distinctive characteristic of Kazan is the small, pointed shaped dark compact green and glossy foliage, which can be appreciated even after the small flowers fade away. They even loook lovely when not in flower. Easy to grow and train, especially for shohin bonsai because of its dwarf, small plant character. Salmon flowers blossom in early summer!
