Ulmus parvifolia ‘Seiju’

There are many different rough bark and dwarf cultivars of Chinese elms. Seiju Chinese elm develops both rough bark and has small foliage which turns yellow in autumn. This cultivar was introduced by H. Carl Young from California in the mid-1960s. Started from an airlayer to develop a good base bonsai. Growing in 1 gal. plastic training pot. Height 13”, width 12”.
